Longmont is a vibrant northern Colorado city of over 82,800 people, which has retained much of its small town quality of life. From its origin in 1871 as a planned agricultural settlement, the community steadily grew and became a regional, agricultural and commercial center in northeast Boulder County. A new level of rapid expansion surfaced in the 1960's and is continuing at a more stable pace today, spurred substantially by the Boulder-Longmont area's high tech manufacturing and advanced service industries.

Longmont's highest elevation: 5123 feet above sea level (Hwy 66 and Airport Rd.)

Longmont's lowest elevation: 4940 feet above sea level (US 287 at St. Vrain River) Longmont has it's own small airport, however the closest commercial airport is in Denver approximately one hour away. The Shamrock shuttle service out of Denver International Airport (DEN) leaves every hour on the hour & will drop you off at the Hampton Inn®.
